Thursday TOONs - It's Me Birthday (on DU)
Wait, what?
So, 20 years ago today Bartcop linked to something over at this newfangled "Democratic Underground" site, and I'd followed the link as I had several times previously, but this time decided to reply, so I set up a user account.
Have no idea what it was, and the DU 1 archive is lost, so can't check it. A lot of ups and downs since then, and the downs have gotten scarier. But the ups have gotten better too.
(I stand by my lack of promises that I'll remember to include this every day)

My anniversary isn't until October, but I remember looking for info here on 9/11--and I came for the Top Ten Idiots list, originally.
Congrats--it's been a long strange journey! 
You encountered a bit of opposition when you first arrived on DU? 
...it was quite controversial on DU to admit that you grew up in a Republican household. But you handled it admirably, as I recall.
