This has to be making the Trump-Loving GOP sweat a bit

] Republicans who voted earlier this year to impeach former President Trump are outpacing their primary challengers in the money race. Now the 10 House Republicans who broke party lines in the chamber’s January impeachment vote are heading into the second half of 2021 flush with cash, financial reports filed on Thursday with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) show. Rep. Liz Cheney (Wyo.), who was ousted from her post as the No. 3 House Republican in May, raked in the most cash of the group in the second quarter of the year, raising nearly $1.9 million and closing out June with more than $2.8 million in the bank. I think more than a few Republican politicians were embracing Trump and the Maga out of fear of being primaried, but if this is any indication, January 6 may have been the last straw for a lot of more traditional Republican voters.

1. Incumbents almost always out-fundraise their primary opponents. You could probably look at
GrOPers who voted against impeachment and get the same result.

3. I know one thing...
I'm really looking forward to that fucking guy crying about as many repugs as he can and turning his base against them for as long as he can... Preferably right up to election '22 and even on through '24. Nothing better then seeing the GQP bring their crazy bullshit against their own.

6. They lost my brother. Jan 6
He was full MAGA right up until the coup attempt. Within days he submitted to change to registered independent. Within weeks he was facing up to TFG was not the man brother wanted to believe he was.
Brother told me today he thinks Mike Pence saved our democracy that day. It has been tough on my brother facing up to all of it. He is fairly well had it with the R's. Only time will show where he lands. |
