White House Feared 'Incredibly Sick' Donald Trump Would Die of COVID—Author

BY BRENDAN COLE ON 7/16/21 AT 4:48 AM EDT

Former President Donald Trump was far sicker from COVID-19 than was revealed publicly, according to a journalist whose book details the final throes of his administration.

Wall Street Journal senior White House reporter Michael Bender said that the state of the former president after he had contracted the disease in October 2020 was "worse than we knew," although he did not believe that the White House had conspired to keep his condition under wraps.

"The Trump White House was just not built in a way to ... coordinate any kind of high-level scheming to hide what happened," Bender told Mediaite. "It was Trump, he wasn't even talking to (Mark) Meadows, his chief of staff about what was happening.

"I'm not sure how much he consulted with the doctor on some of these things," Bender said, which meant there were a number of competing versions of when he tested positive."

I wonder if this news report is one to invoke sorrow for trump being that he's under a lot of investigations, tax issues, etc.

He's bought all of this crap on himself so I, for one, don't have a shred of sorrow for him one bit.

I'm sure the Clintons (who've apparently had their hands in half of the world's deaths over the past 50 years ) would've had something to do with his death, not Covid (which isn't real to many of these morons).

His departure might well have lessoned the sense of urgency to do something about him, and depressed turnout somewhat on our side... Of course in hindsight, it may have depressed turnout for the Republicans even more, with him gone.

MAGAts would probably have been jumping out of their 1st story windows. lol

By the time the former guy inevitably caught Covid, the only people left in his administration were so to-the-bone scared of him that nobody could think past the next potential mean tweet that his stubby little thumbs might stab out. So nobody was in a position to do anything if he became incapacitated or died.

Doesn't that just make everyone feel all warm and fuzzy?

Honestly, I wish tfg had died. I'm not sure why the White House "feared" that outcome. It would have been the best thing for the entire world.

No Big Lie.

No January 6th.

Although I’m sure there would be all sorts of conspiracy theories from the Trumpists that he was actually murdered by the “Deep State.”

So we’d essentially be in no win territory, I’m afraid.

good. We just need to put a stake through his heart to make sure he stays dead.

If anyone could find a way to come back from the dead to make our lives a living hell, it would be him.
