Its starting to feel like "Voting rights" is becoming the new "thoughts and prayer" topic.

But the way things currently are its now big wonder. Every path seems to hit a road block. Machin and Sinema (and who ever they're providing cover for) seem to feel that an obscure Senatorial process is worth more than access to the vote for large numbers of citizen and/or convinced that the best to fight a fire is negotiate a way the arsonists.

There's ony so much Biden can do with executive orders and 'bully pulpit'. There are some small levers congress can pull but while the GOP is ruthless and shameless when using its powers, the Democratic part Party seems hesitant and tentative about fully employing its. They have a sense of shame and honor, recognizing the spirit as well as the letter of rules, something that just draw confused look for rules lawyers likes of Mitch "Technically by the rules is the best way to follow them" McConnell.

And to top it all off, the Supreme Court appears ready to to tear whatever accomplishments are won as soon as someone concots a case that things them befoe them.

And start installing their candidate/electors, we will see who on the left has balls enough to stand up and fight. Because at that point, there is no longer any ambiguity between a Democracy and a Dictatorship.

Their policies are wildly unpopular, they’re a minority in the country and yet they’ve managed to push the country to the point where they will have secured absolute one party, dictatorial rule before the next decade arrives. I’m convinced they’re going to prevail because they just seem to want it more.

I absolutely despise these people but they’re willing to do whatever it takes to secure what their owners want and have convinced their base that they also want these things. So different from the Democrats who hem and haw and outright refuse to use their power in a similar way. They just won’t play as ruthlessly to secure what their base and platform profess to care about. Imagine if we had a party as willing to kidney punch their own mother in order to secure a living wage, healthcare, racial justice and a much more fair distribution of wealth. It’s nice to dream, right? But that’s all it is. There’s no real fight in this party, there’s no singleminded focus on these things, there’s no willingness to do whatever it takes to make sure these things happen, legality, ethics and honor be damned. It’s an endless source of disappointment.

I hate that I have to be so damn negative but there isn’t anything I’ve said that isn’t true.

and not about the fact that these laws are designed to overturn elections through selective vote nullification in majority black and/or blue counties.

'I just want 11,780 votes'

These laws will help future tyrant wannabes to get their wish. Voters will be forced to choose between setting aside 8+ hours to vote or voting absentee, knowing that their vote will likely be tossed if they live in Dekalb or Fulton county.
