which Tiffany Cross summarized as "Please let the black and brown people vote? Come on, guys..."
What more can he do? Some seem like they think he can command the Senate or at least the Democratic members directly or something similar. What options isn't he using?

What should Biden do?
Man, some people sure have a lot of bright ideas... but zero possible follow through.
Ya. Biden should perform a few more miracles.
Talk is cheap. And there sure is plenty of it on Fresh Face MSM!!

La Tosha Brown suggested he start by taking away preferred parking and office space, and work up from there.
Leaking data about Manchins coal mine, and any skeletons in Sinemas closet would be fair game IMO.

(77,585 posts)*Huzzah* to the Cubans rising up in Cuba and a word to the post-Exiles here
* First of all, congratulations and solidarity to the Cubans in Cuba standing up for themselves, THERE. Finally, after all these years of their suppression.
* Next, to the Exiles protesting here: Consider making it real by somehow *MATERIALIZING* your support physically over THERE. Here's the deal: We Dems/Libs were solid in support of the revolution against the Wingnut dictator BATISTA and welcomed CASTRO and GUEVARRA, even glorified them. But soon thereafter they showed who they were - and forget the "Communism" B.S. - who they were were murderers and fortune stealers for themselves in Swiss banks. Then the First Generation of Exiles here, who were wingnuts in their own country to start with, turned against JFK and the Democratic party over the Bay of Pigs, and became willing tools for the old CIA and our wingnuts here. Then followed endless pains in the neck to us Dems from both sides - the CASTRO provocations (e.g., the Mariel dump, pokes in our eyes with USSR) and the Exile-CIA generation going full Repuke here. Not to mention that the Cubans got perks with immigration policies that other nationalities (say, Mexico) did not get. Plus, such benefits as Cuban-Americans advancing with lightning speed for top political offices (U.S. Senators), leap frogging over other minorities (say, Mexican-Americans).
* So, now that it's safer and your compatriots in Cuba are risking their all, perhaps you might consider going back, this time using your now more refined Right Wing doctrines in ways that are not oppressively dictatorial. I personally will advocate to support you over THERE.

I am sure he was referring to their votes when Trump was POTUS, as now they both have voted with him 100% so far on final votes
115th Congress
Senate

House (Cuellar & Sinema have by far the highest +/- of any Dem, meaning they both voted so much higher with Trump than predicted by their constituents in their district)

All Congresses Senate Only

(98,883 posts)their position on the filibuster, even if it was just limited to voting rights
I think the only way it will happen is if we gain enough seats in the Senate where we dont need Manchin and Sinema, and maybe a couple of others

(54,238 posts)There literally is no one left in the Senate other than those 2 who voted over 50% of the time with Trump, they all lost (Heitkamp, Donnelly, Doug Jones). Even above 40% lost too (Nelson from FL and McCaskill) Warner and King did vote above 40% in the 115th, but not overall.
In the House you also have very few left. Cuellar by far is the outlier (the only Dems left in the House besides him who voted over 50% with Trump in the full 215th are Gottheimer, Tom O'Halleran, and Stephanie Murphy and none of those were within 13 points of Cuellar's score) His district has never once, in history, voted for a Rethug, but his challengers have been too far left progs, so we need to run a moderate, a centrust who simply believes in the Dem platform (Cuellar doesn't on multiple major issues, he is a rabid pro-lifer, anti-immigrant, pro big oil, massive pro private, for profit prisons, anti-LGBTQ, and has campaigned and fundraised for a RW racist climate change-denying Rethug, Jon Carter). Cuellar (now that Lipinski was defeated) is the only sitting Dem in the House I want to see primaried. If he was a poster here, he would be banned, lolol (for bigotry and for supporting Rethugs). I never advocate primarying vulnerable Dems in swing districts, and his district is solid blue. We just cannot run a person against him who is a Sanders clone, it will not fly there.
I do not advocate primarying Manchin, if he runs again in 2024, as even if they beat him in the primary, they will get wrecked in the general (as will Manchin, pretty likely, unfortunately, as he barely won last time with that massive Blue Wave at his back, something he so will not have in 2024). Sinema is, whether you or I agree with it, extremely likely to be primaried (and has a real decent shot at losing) barring some huge, unforeseen events. Again, like Cuellar, I just hope it is NOT a Bernie clone, as they cannot win the state in the general. It needs to be another Kelly type.
As for picking up enough seats in the Senate in 2022, we will be fighting a bad historic trend of us getting smashed in the first mid-terms of Dem POTUS's, PLUS many of the fucking voter suppression laws IF we cannot roll them back. We have basically 3 truly legit pickup shots, the open PA (best bet, Fetterman is great) and NC seats, plus WI (whether that fuckig traitor Ron Johnson runs or not).
All others are pretty (the best other hope is Demings versus that rotter Rubio in FL) to extremely problematic (again barring some giant event or events) to basically impossible. We also have to defend 4 races that will be far from cakewalks. Warnock in GA (will be tough to hold), Maggie Hassan in NH (if Sununu runs, this will be tough, NH just flipped both State chambers from blue to red in 2020 and Sununu is very popular), Cortez Masto in NV (we dodged a huge bullet with the very popular ex governor Sandoval saying he will not run), and finally Kelly in AZ (who I think should win, unless it becomes a Red wave election, which would spell doom for the nation, as if it goes Red Wave, the Rethugs will deffo flip the House, and flip it huge. The Rethugs have a more than decent shot to flip it anyway, even if there is no Red Wave (reapportionment fucked us pretty hard, just for starters), but it will be close, too close to truly call, and of course they will also likely take back the Senate easily, given a Red Wave).
I am nowhere near ready to make a call, but atm, not completely convinced we gain a net +2 in the Senate needed to somewhat render Manchin and Sinema irrelevant (to a pont) as atm I think we take at least one, maybe two hits on flips ourselves. Lots of miles yet to go.
