The August recess

Given there is so much going on in the US and abroad along so much important legislation being worked on, do anyone think that the August congressional recess should shorted, postponed or even skipped all together?

1. Every year this is asked. I'm not sure they will ever get rid of it.

It’s the time that congress gets out and meet constituents and fundraise.

after the congress critters get back from that, it'll be time for the thanksgiving recess, the xmas recess, and a nap for them.

3. Cut the recess in half.

3 weeks instead of 6.

Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Schumer can do it. Let the Republicans piss and moan. Legislation needs to get passed.

4. Recess is time for congress to meet with their constituents back home.

My guess is most of them spend it vacationing or fund raising.
