Officials with the Windermere Police Department announced Thursday that an officer was arrested in connection with the US Capitol riot that took place in January.
According to Windermere police, Officer Kevin Tuck has been charged with:
Obstruction of an official proceeding, aiding and abetting
Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds
Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds
Entering and remaining in the gallery of Congress
Disorderly conduct in a Capitol building
Parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building
Tuck has been a member of the Windermere Police Department since May of 2019.
Windermere officials said they contacted the FBI on Jan. 11 when a fellow officer expressed concerns. Tuck reportedly initially denied being inside the Capitol on Jan. 6 and stated he "was never close" and was just attending a rally.
In July, the FBI notified the department that a warrant was being secured for Tuck.

(7,264 posts)Unless there is evidence bringing more serious charges, I'd be surprised any of these would land him behind bars apart from initial arrest.
I'd be happy, but I'd be very surprised.
