People like Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, and others were quick to condemn Donald Trump's actions, and lack of action, on January 6th. But they have done a total 360 flip-flop since then?
Lindsey Graham stood on the floor of the Senate and said he had "had it". "Write me off" he said. Trump had gone too far for even Lindsey. Not surprising, he flip-flopped almost immediately. But that is nothing new for two-faced Lindsey.
Mitch McConnell stood up and said that Donald Trump was "responsible" for the attack on our Capitol and that there were civil and criminal statutes to handle anything he had done. "He got away with nothing, yet", he said. Six months later, Mitch is firmly under the thumb of Donald Trump, as is almost all of the Republican caucus.
Kevin McCarthy may be the most obvious of all the flip-floppers. He denounced the attack on our Capitol and it was reported that he got into a shouting match with Donald Trump because he did not help when they needed it. That would be a deal-breaker for most folks, but not Kevin. He is the supreme opportunist, if nothing else. He wants to be Speaker more than he desires his next breath.
That is a question reporters should be asking all these flip-floppers. Why did you change your mind from what you said immediately after January 6th. If you were not telling the truth then, how can people believe you now? They should be required to respond to their flip-flops.

It's all going to backfire because the info on Chump that's slowly coming out is way worse than anything he has on the rest of the GOP.
I agree with you that McCarthy, Graham, McConnell and others should have their feet held to the fire. This goes way beyond negligence, they've been misdirecting and gaslighting for several months.

They've got skeletons in their closets that don't want verified publicly; and
Their core voters do not want to hear that, and will turn on them if they persist in trying to break with Trump.

I often ask myself how easy could it be to go against someone like *tfg* if your family was threatened? Many people could threaten and it would not mean much but this guy? I believe he still has enough people who are mob or mob-like to do the job for him.
