Former Guy: "They were hugging and kissing. You don't see that. There's plenty of tape on that."

I've watched the tapes.... I haven't seen a kiss or hug yet.

............

What was Trump’s goal on January 6? What did he hope his supporters would do after he told them to march on the Capitol?

He chose to remark again on the size of the crowd. “I would venture to say I think it was the largest crowd I had ever spoken [to] before,” Trump said. “It was a loving crowd, too, by the way. There was a lot of love. I’ve heard that from everybody. Many, many people have told me that was a loving crowd. It was too bad, it was too bad that they did that.”

Pressed again, Trump said he had hoped his supporters would show up outside the Capitol but not enter the building. “In all fairness, the Capitol Police were ushering people in,” Trump said. “The Capitol Police were very friendly. They were hugging and kissing. You don’t see that. There’s plenty of tape on that.”

Trump didn’t mention the countless accounts of horrific violence—that of a riotous mob shoving a police officer to the ground, later threatening to shoot him with his own gun, or that of an insurrectionist bashing a flagpole into another police officer’s chest, or that of yet another officer howling in pain as he was compressed in a closing door.

“Personally, what I wanted is what they wanted,” Trump said of the rioters. “They showed up just to show support because I happen to believe the election was rigged at a level like nothing has ever been rigged before. There’s tremendous proof. There’s tremendous proof. Statistically, it wasn’t even possible that [Biden] won. Things such as, if you win Florida and Ohio and Iowa, there’s never been a loss.”

He's often claimed people were "hugging and kissing" or wanted to "kiss" when it was untrue, and wouldn't have been something done in those circumstances anyway.

Where His Orangeness meets with the lowly peons so that he can lie out his ass to make himself look important. He had his fifteen minutes, but as a full blown narcissist he is incapable of decreasing his perceived adoration, so he does whatever he can to keep up appearances. And, yes, it looks like where the king would have his barons murdered so he could keep all the riches for himself. Or something along those lines.

It reminds of that scene in The Man With Two Brains where Dr Hfuhururrrrrr visits his friend's apartment, which is decorated like a dungeon. "I love what you've done with the place! It's so dreary!"

The thought that keeps jumping into my mind is this:

Chump says there is "tremendous proof" that the election was "rigged." And yet, Chump himself was in charge of the government. It was his administration's job to see that the election was carried out in the correct and legal manner, following constitutional law. If the election were truly rigged, then it was his own negligence and mismanagement that caused it.

How can he say that rigging was going on, since he lost? Whenever a corrupt government rigs an election, say in a banana republic or some such, it's always the incumbent that wins, even when he loses. Am I right?

However in every case that has been investigated, there is no fraud, no stolen votes, no rigging of any kind. Not even Republicans can show this, as hard as they've tried. The case is closed and Chump needs to shut the fuck up.

The only thing that CAN be shown is the several attempts at illegal voter suppression that were carried out by the GOP, and that MUST end. However voter suppression isn't really a subject of this book "I Alone Can Fix It."

Chump says there is "tremendous proof" that the election was "rigged." Chump ... was in charge of the government. It was his ... job to see that the election was carried out ... following constitutional law. If the election were truly rigged, then it was his own negligence and mismanagement that caused it.

And there you have it.

1. Yes, the election was rigged.
2. Trump & Co. rigged it, just like they stole the election from Secretary Clinton in 2016, with voting machine voter suppression in
a. Arizona
b. Michigan
c. Pennsylvania
d. Wisconsin

3. Trump & Co. were bad at math, failed to cheat big enough to overcome the anti-45 vote and the unforeseen Pandemic effect on voting, and could not figure out HOW to flip mail-in paper ballots.

4. There have been isolated incidents of identified voter fraud in 2020. Every instance I recall is a Republican who voted twice, "because I didn't think my vote would count," or deliberately committed voter fraud when they chose to fill out and submit ballots for dead relatives.

5. The flood of GOP backed voter suppression laws making it harder to vote for the elderly, the "urban," the college set, the working class, women** and any one else who deigns to vote a democratic ticket is declaration they will be cheating in 2022 and beyond.

McCarthy and McConnell both lay the blame squarely on Trump in candid, truthful remarks in the immediate aftermath of the Siege. Those remarks should be broadcast on every news network every single day until the GOP breaks itself into Seditionists and whatever we want to call "rational republicans."

**REAL ID deadline is October, 2021. New ID requirements demand proof of name changes. Men rarely change their names, whether married, re-married, or divorced. Women do, though. Anyone else have to pay for duplicate marriage license to get your Gold Star Drivers license? I'm afraid voter ID is coming as a bargaining chip for other Biden Admin's priorities. While a minor issue, it's another instance of white men writing laws that will never apply to themselves, just The Others.

I suppose this means that Chump has failed at being a Banana Republic Dictator, because he can't even get his own ass re-elected.

Seriously though, these states were NOT rigged. If there had been better organization of mail-in voting in some states, Biden would have won by an even larger margin. It's just more proof that there was no rigging, it was all Chump's lies.

It's too late to bring this up now, but those 4 states that went for Biden in 2020 were probably rigged in 2016. That's why Chump was able to win in 2016. It didn't happen a 2nd time.

I think those states were rigged in 16, and whatever half assed attempt they had in mind, their scheme failed. They can only rig close elections, and this one wasn't close, mass delusion aside.

Never seen a group tell us every day what they did and wanted to do and get away with it so often.
