Had to venture out from my anti-covid lair today

To downtown Chicago. Lyft drivers wore mask, almost no one else did. I think I saw 5 people wearing mask. Not quite pre-pandemic crowds, it was on the height of the work rush. Decent foot traffic and vehicular traffic was quite more than I expected. Revival Food Hall packed and no marks on sight.
So Summers Coming. to use a revised quote from GOT.

getting in before the next rush.

Scary looking summer ahead by current trends. Thankfully, I'm in a well vaxxed area. Still gonna be careful. I know there are trumpers out there, though they may be laying low right now.

the blue masks before. In my area, it's just me wearing a mask, or so it seems sometimes.

Pierce Co. is not quite 50% vaccinated, so half of adults should be masked indoors.

I'd say it's more like 1 in 20 are masked at the grocery stores, restaurants, Fred Meyer etc.

And have a stock pile of k95 and n95. Couple hundred masks lol. Was actually trying to find the best protection vs. Usability and found the k95 duck Bill. Love them.

I just have 50 KN95s. I re-use several times, so that should last a while. I figure I only wear them for less than a hour at a time, so I can do that.

7. I bought a 10 pack of N95s in April 2021 for $36.

Today, the same 10 pack is $18. Hardly anyone is wearing masks where I live. I double mask when I go into stores, more because I would hate to have a mask malfunction & be without.

I don't have much problem with other people when I'm out wearing a mask, but my husband does & I think it goes back to the whole manly-man thing. It's almost always men who will challenge his space & disrespect social distancing. They approach him, always without masks, some even greeting him, getting as close as they can to him. It enrages me when he tells me, because these assholes have no idea my husband's health or the health of those he lives with. Wondering if others see this kind of disrespect, too?

Watch smoke come out of their ears as they process that.
