He got six months with credit for time served. He had two days left.

From ABC news:

"Hodgkins was never accused of assaulting anyone or damaging property. And prosecutors said he deserves some leniency for taking responsibility almost immediately and pleading guilty to the obstruction charge.

But they also noted how he boarded a bus in his hometown of Tampa bound for a Jan. 6 Trump rally carrying rope, protective goggles and latex gloves in a backpack — saying that demonstrated he came to Washington prepared for violence."


Rope? Goggles? Gloves? I don't know how it can be argued that he got caught up in the moment when he brought those items with him.

Well, at least he's going to have a felony on his record forever, and prison will suck, even for just 8 months. I'm sure this also cost a lot in legal fees. So there's that.

with no prior record followed a mob that broke into a family dollar store but didn't take anything and was on camera going in what would his sentence be ???

Since that state offense, unlike this case, would not be in a federal court.
