Covid certificates will be made compulsory for crowded venues such as nightclubs in an attempt to boost jab uptake among young people, the government has announced. Hours after clubs were allowed to reopen for the first time in 16 months, Boris Johnson said he was concerned about 'the continuing risk posed by nightclubs' and that from the end of September, those who are not fully vaccinated would not be admitted to venues

1. End of September is way too late.

Without checking specifically, I believe the UK is about on the same trajectory we are on - and unless something changes we will be worse than January 2020 by the end of September.

Guess they want people to have a couple months to get both shots. Think of the spread those two months could cause.

3. They give them 8 weeks apart now, at least.

I was 12 until recently, I think.
