Conservative position on infrastructure funding has hardened
1. No reversing the Trump tax cuts
2. No tax hikes of any kind
3. No extra IRS money for tougher enforcement of existing tax laws

(149,754 posts)We work so hard to make it bipartisan, and they pull the "Lucy stunt" again.
Oh, but this time it'll be different!
I suggest we take this and shove it down Manchin's throat.

(53,957 posts)finally will stop with their Quixotic bipartisan quest and get on board with the large Democratic bill.
And since the stingy republicans have reneged on some provisions of the bipartisan bill, we should add them to larger bill if possible and get on with passign the larger bill.
If we don't pass either our Congressional majorities are toast in 2022.

(256 posts)For some reason I thought we were
beyond the bait and switch, time
waisting negotiations days with the
Republicans.
One bill 3.5 T through reconciliation
and wrap this up.

(13,582 posts)I hope to hell Manchin is paying attention right now. His slavish devotion to outdated Senate protocols is fucking up the future of America every bit as much as these Republican traitors.
