AP makes HUGE mistake. It was Trump/Barr's DOJ that declined to prosecute Wilbur Ross

This story was wrong. AP reported that Biden’s DOJ declined to prosecute Wilbur Ross, when it actually happened in January, 2020, under Barr.

They have issued a correction at the bottom of the article.

This was a pretty big mistake.

I have been fairly even keeled on Garland’s DOJ.

But if they are explicitly declining to prosecute people like Wilbur Ross (still waiting for this story to be confirmed), when actual referrals have been made, then that is a problem. A deal breaker.

Any attempt to hold the former guy's administration accountable will backfire on Democrats and ensure a Republican majority forever and all time. I'm not quite sure of the mechanism involved, but a lot of folks here are utterly convinced of it. So, scot-free.

The current DOJ oould revisit the issue if they wanted and prosecute if they felt that was the proper decision.
