Continued stacking-up of personal injury lawsuits, brought by the families of individuals who died of COVID---people who thought Tucker Carlson and Fuckface Hannity were somehow better medical advisors than Anthony Fauci.

IMO the suits at FOX are worried not just about being accused of killing people like facebook was, but about getting sued for months of irresponsible statements about vaccines and thus contributing to covid infections and even deaths.

I haven't heard if Carlson and Ingraham changed their tunes also.

Right now, close to 100% of those dying are Trump supporters. This is not good and they're looking at hundreds of thousands of dead Trump voters in the coming months.

And furthermore, with that being said, they know that their viewers are the ones getting sick and dying right now, I tell you what changes people on Covid, having a loved one dying from it, or getting it yourself. And when this happens right now, those people are all pissed off at the people who gave them bad info, namely FOX News.

Say they lose 300,00 Trump voters to Covied, each one has dozens of people who might be pissed off at FOX. And another few million people might get it and get really sick and blame FOX.

Their only protection is masking and social distancing, on scales that make last year pale in comparison. I don't believe the vast majority of GOP'ers have that kind of stamina.

It was 50 years ago, when as a high school senior, I made the following observation when our principal lost a lawsuit and tried to pass of the court-mandated procedures as largesse on his part:
When life kicks you in the balls you may as well take a bow.

a place where the coaches all expected that we would be enlisting to go to Viet Nam.

The Hippy Movement was catching on, but the school had a dress code (My sister was once sent to the office to have her skirt measured, and my first day there I was sent to "trim" the three hairs that were sticking out from my upper lip).

One student had decided to grow his hair long, and the coaches grabbed him and forcibly cut his hair.

Student's parents sued the school and the Board, were told that the dress code was unconstitutional, and the next Monday, the principal went on the PA system to announce that he was cancelling the dress code.

Fox has quietly implemented its own version of a vaccine passport while its top personalities attack them
https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/19/media/fox-vaccine-passport/index.html

While the "Fox Clear Pass" is voluntary for employees, and other companies have similar tools, it is still remarkable, given how vocal Fox's top talent has been in criticizing the concept of vaccine passports.

Fox News has spent months portraying the notion that people might be asked to show vaccination status as dangerous to personal freedom and anti-American.

Fox has also hyped the rejection of vaccine passports by Republican elected officials like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Spokespeople for Fox Corporation and Fox News did not comment in response to questions Monday about why the right-wing talk channel has been so forcefully against vaccine passports while the company has itself implemented a version of one.
