You know, Madison Cawthorn is partially paralyzed. He must've had some excellent doctors and scientists help him to recover from his accident. He should be ashamed of himself for saying this about Dr. Fauci who has worked his whole life for the greater good.

(6,408 posts)But I will tell you right now, that is not the case with Anthony Fauci. He is a punk who is trying to further his own career, make himself wealthy and famous. But let me tell you, he deserves neither wealth nor fame because he has destroyed countless small businesses.
Cawthorn then went on to blame Fauci for some of the ramifications of the pandemic.
He has taken years of development away from young children who are missing the best parts of their entire lives. He has shackled entire states and destroyed their economies, he said. All because of what? He wants to see his face on the news?

(11,767 posts)Cawthorn is straight up WRONG. So he is either incredibly STUPID, he is LYING, or BOTH.
Fauci is trying to "further his career"? How so? He has been at the head of the NIAID for decades. He has been in the PUBLIC sector, meaning serving the public, at a reduced salary than he could have gotten in the private sector, FOR OVER 50 YEARS. Why the fuck would he be "trying to further his career"? HOW?
On the second point, how did doctor Fauci, who AGAIN serves at the head of the NIAID, "take years of development away from young children"? While the CDC and other actually authoritative agencies provided guidance to the States and thereby the Counties/Parishes/etc... None of those agencies had ANY authority to mandate closures of schools. That was all done at the STATE & LOCAL level. Again, HOW?
This is what happens when you get kicked out of junior college for being a goddamned creep. You have no ability to think critically or use reason to understand things.
I do not mean this as a slight to people who have not had the opportunity to go to college or university. Education is not necessarily synonymous to intelligence and the ability to think critically. We only need to look at Yale trained attorney Josh Hawley to see that. I am saying that Cawthorn has been an anti-intellectual clown since day one, and likely was only seeking education as a way to gain clout. He's always been a dumbass.

(54,797 posts)Hawley attended Lexington Middle School and then Rockhurst High School, a private Jesuit boys' prep school in Kansas City, Missouri, from which he graduated in 1998 as a valedictorian. According to his middle school principal, Barbara Weibling, several of Hawley's teachers thought "he was probably going to be president one day." While in high school, Hawley regularly wrote columns for his hometown newspaper The Lexington News, writing about such topics as the American militia movement following the Oklahoma City bombing, media coverage of Los Angeles Police Department detective Mark Fuhrman, and affirmative action, which he opposed.
He then studied history at Stanford University, where his mother was an alumna. Hawley graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with highest honours and Phi Beta Kappa membership. Hawley studied under professor David M. Kennedy, who later contributed the foreword to a book Hawley wrote, Theodore Roosevelt: Preacher of Righteousness. Kennedy said Hawley stood out in a school "which is overstuffed with overachieving and very talented young people," and has described Hawley as arguably the most gifted student I taught in 50 years. After spending ten months in London as a post graduate intern at St Paul's School from 2002 to 2003, Hawley returned to the U.S. to attend Yale Law School, graduating in 2006 with a Juris Doctor degree. The Kansas City Star reported that Hawley's classmates saw him as "politically ambitious and a deeply religious conservative." While at Yale, Hawley was an editor of the Yale Law Journal and served as president of the school's Federalist Society chapter.
