Pittsburgh PA street sign - this is an official street sign

If you're familiar with Pittsburgh, it's posted on Grant St. & Blvd. of the Allies.
That's a high-traffic area in Downtown Pittsburgh.
I believe they may be posted elsewhere as well.

Including germ warfare!

I'm not joking about that history, but I'm kidding about me still being bothered by it after so much time has passed!

I've enjoyed some of the liberal radio stations that I heard while passing through Pittsburgh. It's like a blast from the past for me, since those kinds of stations are pretty much extinct in my area now (except for NPR).

There was also an Indian massacre (they killed all the white settlers) about 250 years ago, if you must know. I can't tell you the year but it was before the American Revolution.

So yes we have some nice "liberal" radio stations. However I'm sad to say that Pittsburgh is also where Rush Limbaugh got his infamous start about 35 years ago. As soon as he hit the bigtime he left us, and nobody missed him, but that's another story.

I love that my city is BLUE through and through, but we're surrounded by red counties on all sides. That is the nature of living in Pennsylvania.

Even the bluish cities in my area have lousy radio stations. Not educational at all, whereas Pittsburgh offered some mentally stimulating radio shows. It's been awhile since I drove through it, so I hope it's still that way!

I have several ancestors who lived in and around Fort Pitt, with ancestry from Eastern PA, who later traveled with Simon Kenton and others to Northern KY.

So I've read several books about that early history. There was plenty of brutality from both sides, actually.

Haven't seen them in a while so I assume they're on other projects.
I forget who was in it, but they played in Sharon at Quaker Steak & Lube.
