Protecting ex-President Donald Trumps children is no longer a tax-payer problem.
Wednesday marks six months since Trumps reluctant departure from The Oval Office. The milestone wipes away certain post-presidency perks, including funding for staff. Gone, too, is Secret Service protection for Trumps adult children. Trump and his wife Melania are entitled to it for life; Barron, the couples 15-year-old son, will be protected by the Secret Service until hes 16.

(22,065 posts)a so called POS 'billionaire' is money in the bank for taxpayers.
Personally, w/ the so called money trump is worth, the secret service protection should be taken away, since rump can supposedly afford it.
And of course republicans are no where to be seen on cutting back secret service protection for a so called wealthy billionaire who can easily afford the protection (and thus pay for it on his own), versa republicans who seem very intent on taking away Grandpa or Grandma's meager food stamp allowance (or reducing the amount received monthly). Pathetic, isn't it?
