The Capitol police board is made up on the House Sergeant at Arms, the Senate Sergeant at Arms ans the Architect of the Capitol.

The House SAA is selected by the Speaker and then Elected by the House

The Senate Sergeant at Arms is selected by McConnell and votes on in the Senate

The Architect is appointed by the President (Trump) to a 10 year term that is confirmed by the Senate, so it looks like 2/3 of the Police Board was approved by Republicans.

Additionally, Paul Irving was first appointed by Speaker John Boehner
