Can someone tell me why Nina Turner is doing well in her race, given how much she's disliked on DU?

What I've heard about her certainly doesn't appeal to me. But some people obviously like her. Can anyone explain the appeal?

I don't live in Ohio, and my only exposure so far to what she's about is the most negative commentary I get here.

" Some people support her because their basic instinct is to burn shit down without thinking through what will come after. That is how we got a president Trump."

Even if that's not the reason people support her, it's as good a reason as any for doing so.

This threw France into turmoil for a century.

Destroy the government and regional chains of control.

The rich tried to convert their wealth into political power with no experience or planning.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/dem-star-nina-turner-blows-pledge-not-to-take-lobbyist-money

“I’m not taking any corporate PAC or lobbyist money.”
— Democratic congressional candidate Nina Turner

While Turner’s links to Mercury have been a matter of public record, they haven’t been widely reported beyond a Mercury press release announcing its sponsorship of her firm. And Turner—an outspoken anti-corporate progressive and national co-chair for Sen. Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign—may have good reasons to keep a low-profile connection.

Mercury has gained a great deal of public notoriety over the last few years. The firm had extensive revolving door ties to Trump administration officials, and made millions as a foreign agent for entities associated with geopolitical adversaries such as China, Libya, Russia, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s regime.

Last year, Reuters reported that the FBI had launched a national security investigation into Mercury client NSO Group Technologies, on suspicion that the shady Israeli-based spyware company had hacked U.S. residents and American businesses.

Independents and Democracy loving Republicans. Many people here have pointed out that she equated voting for Biden as eating a bowl of shit Turner has no interest in the Democratic Party, and supported Stein in 2016 rather than Hillary. I'd rather see a bag of cats elected.

A shrinking lead as time goes on, but still big right now. I hope she loses the primary too, but the point of my question is wondering why she's had the lead so far.

of the Our Revolution/Justice Democrats/People's Party attempted take-over of the Democratic Party wasn't that popular any more. Certainly not with the Democratic base. Why anyone still thinks repeating slogans and saying "working class" over and over gets anything done, I do not know.

Democrats posting on DU quote Nina Turner's own words. Quoting a person's own words and actions aren't "attacks." Lying about Democrats are attacks that help Republicans.
