was deliberate, right down to including Jim Jordan as his nominee for the committee. He knew that Jordan would be rejected. That was his excuse to refuse to cooperate and to set up his own investigation - not of who started and planned the insurrection, but of Pelosi. The RW narrative to distract from who was behind the insurrection is that Pelosi was at fault for not having adequate security at the Capitol.

From outside the committee, the Rs can push that narrative better than from being on the committee.
