They never even told him why he was leaving or gave him paperwork...I doubt they can win a case for firing for cause.

I'm assuming he's immediately eligible for unemployment pay.
Seems he should be.
But, if you're right about the cause, that seems to mean it's temporary. Sure hope so.

There is a huge rail freight disruption from west coast into Chicago. Not sure where you are, but maybe they will resolve this & rehire quickly! 🤞

More parts, more outsourcing, from overseas, from small specialty companies. Time was everything was made in the mid-west. No more.
