Lara Trump says she's 'thrilled' when her child gets sick from not wearing a face mask

Fox News contributor Lara Trump on Thursday explained that she is against face masks because she is "thrilled" when her 3-year-old child gets sick.

Trump made the remarks during a rant opposing masks on Fox & Friends.

"The idea that we're going to make our children sit in school masked up all day long I think is absolutely ludicrous," she opined.

Trump went on to complain that children are "not coming in contact with germs that they need to develop an immune system."

You could perhaps ignore yearly flu vaccines but not this year. You need polio, smallpox, DPT, MMR and Covid. My father lost 2 sibs during the 1918 pandemic. This is much more serious.

Obviously if there's a vaccine, that's even better than getting sick.

All I'm saying is that in general, it's probably good for kids to be exposed to the worlds pathogens ... when they're overly protected from germs when they're young (regardless of coming down with actual sickness from them) I would bet that they won't develop as strong/diverse an immune system.

If there's something deadly floating around that affects kids though it SHOULD change the calculation for a mother.

My great niece, wore one no whining, tantrums or pulling it off. Comes from good parenting, a parent that actually cares. Both our wee ones now 5 and 2 have been tested for COVID. Once when one had diarrhea and another when the whole family came down with flu like symptoms. Both negative.
