The former asshole in chief cared nothing for others his whole life. It was all transactional. I am sure his Klan father played a big part in his issues.

DeSantis is something far worse. He doesn't have the same mental problems. He is a calculated cold blooded killer. He scripts every move, and sees dead Floridians as pawns who died for the king.

He knows, as does any politician in Florida that gets to Tallahassee, that the likes of the rich in Boca and WPB, plus the Blue Hairs in Naples and The Villages make up a HUGE voting block in my state.

There might not be too many billionaires in Florida, but there is a shit-ton of people with a net worth in the 7 and 8 digit range, not to mention comfortable 6 and 7 digit portfolios, and those are the folks the likes of DeSantis’ of Florida pay attention to.

They aren’t looking to kill off the old white folks at all, not by any stretch. Those are the ones with the free time to reliably go to the polls.

I live in JAX and DeSantis rising further in national politics is a serious concern.

He is a Trumpist, but he is smarter than Trumpy, and much better educated. He has his military experience he can wave in front of the right wingers who adore all things in uniform and he has ambition. All of which makes him dangerous as hell.

DeSantis needs to be voted out of the governorship of Florida and humiliated on the national stage, such that no one can look at him and think he is any kind of serious political force.

If he gets to the White House, this country is fucking doomed, because he is smart enough to do the damage Trumpy wanted to do, but couldn’t
