Why would I care? "Revenge" is useless. hunter Jul 2021 #2
Wow. But curious: Did you ask her to let you out? Would she simply not stop? Beartracks Jul 2021 #3
It was entirely impulsive. hunter Jul 2021 #4

I'll just say this: Interesting stories, but I can't relate, because revenge has never been my thing. Dead to me is more my style.

I broke up with a woman by jumping out of her moving car, leaving a lot of my skin and blood on the streets of Berkeley. I sorta slid to a stop without breaking any bones, even though I'd tumbled a bit.

I may have been an accessory to a felony assault as well, but I suspect the pimp my ex had handcuffed to a urinal and beaten bloody never complained.

It was a long bus ride home. Nobody wanted to sit next to the shredded crying crazy guy. These days someone would have likely called the cops but things were different then. No cell phones, and the crazy guy didn't look especially dangerous and had a valid ticket.

She sent all my stuff back to me in a box. No note, not even a "Fuck You, Hunter!"

We crossed paths a few years later at a Silicon Valley convention and pretended not to know one another.

But honestly, it all worked out for the best, for both of us.

Ours was a match made in hell, a David Lynch Eraserhead version of My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

When I jumped out of her car I broke us and we all lived happily ever after.
