In May, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn joked about a coup to take over the American government. Now he's "joking" about assassination.

When being awarded over the weekend with a new rifle, Flynn told the audience in Yuba, California, "Maybe I'll find someone in Washington, D.C."

What a total fucking asshole. He is off his rocker and should be put in either Leavenworth, or Saint Elizabeth’s, I am not sure which

Leavenworth has fixed-length sentences. Saint Elizabeth can keep you for life if they don't think you're well enough to be released.

The Secret Service might decide to "stand their ground" if he shows up after making statements like that.

He's a civilian. If he commits a civil crime (which he did before) you're welcome to indict him again.

Once that's done, the military does the rest. UCMJ. Court martial.

Of course like any othe rcourt there must be evidence presented and he is entitled to a defense. But damn, there's definitely evidence. Hell, he was convicted in a civilian court of something.

I expect there are precedents on retired officers returning to active duty, like during wartime, but i can't name one, so I can't address whether they were invited or whether they invited themselves. I don't know whether there is an actual precedant of aretired office being recalled ot stand court martial. If amyone knows more than I do about this, please share.

We can certainly petition the Commander in Chief, president Biden, but it would be nice to know whether that's appropriate or not.

He would only be brought back onto active duty and tried for something that occurred when he was previously on active duty. If someone has an example of a retiree being brought back active duty for a crime committed post-retirement I’d like to see it.

Perfectly acceptable for Republicans to encourage assassination and overthrow of the government because they "love" the USA.
