Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced Sunday that he has COVID-19 for a second time.

The announcement from on Facebook in which he thanked well-wishers for their outpouring of love and kindness.

"I keep my family's private business very quiet, because of the evil in the world, yet we are uplifted by the love of God's children, and quiet privacy does not mean secrecy, so, here's the update," he wrote. "I have COVID, Becca has COVID, my son has COID. Becca and I had COVID before, early on, in January 2020, before the world really knew what it was. So, this is our second experience with the CCP biological attack weaponized virus...and this episode is far more challenging. It has required all of my devoted energy."

Is he sure he had Covid in Jan 2020? A lot of people say that but they are really just guessing. There were not tests back then. You could possibly have taken the test for antibodies to find out but very few actually did that. Just saying

4. I had the same reaction when I read this. I suppose it is possible,

but I would need more information to be convinced that they had it that early. I have encountered many people who are "sure" they had it before it was documented in the area where they live but not one of them ever bothered to confirm their hunch with antibody testing.

I had a real nasty cold in December 2019/January 2020 and wondered whether I'd caught the virus early on. I didn't have any of the secondary symptoms, though (loss of taste and smell, extreme fatigue), so I concluded it was just a nasty cold. Higgins is such a liar (Blaming the ChiComs are you Clay? How very McCarthyite of you) I wouldn't trust him if he said the sun was coming up in the east.

But I found people who claim they had it, even as far back as November, are usually Trumpers. Maybe it’s their way of saying “it’s no big deal.” My bet is he did not have it in January.

Yes, a lot of people think that but it's extremely unlikely. The rise in excess deaths in the US didn't start until the last half of March 2020. Covid-19 couldn't have been circulating much in the US before late February.
