You are here, GOP. You are in that spot where you're telling your constituents that what happened on January 6th didn't happen at all - despite the fact that they saw it with their own eyes. But Trump has declared that it was a 'loving crowd', so you have no choice but to go along with that - for fear of losing the votes of the brain-dead who are too stupid to believe their own eyes.

You are in that increasingly uncomfortable spot where you have to tell the people who still support you that COVID-19 is an over-hyped 'flu' - and you have to convince them that the fact that the unvaccinated account for the majority of current COVID deaths is some kind of weird coincidence.
You are here, GOP. You are in that undesirable spot where the delusional failed-president of your party continues to become more unhinged with every passing day - and you are duty-bound to support every lunacy he espouses. And make no mistake - his ventures into lunacy are going to become even more unhinged as the noose tightens around the necks of those who enabled his crimes.
