A couple of weeks ago the Stephanie Miller show was discussing unvaccinated people

and what attitude we do and or should have about them. The two positions were trying to understand them and be empathetic and not caring and almost hoping they would hurry up and die. At that point I was considerably in the trying to understand them camp but honesty as each day passed I am moving toward the hurry up and die camp. They are a literal pro COVID 5th column that is every bit as dangerous as a sleeper cell for Al Quida. And the fact is, they are showing no signs whatsoever of having an ability to change their minds. My county is among the worst in the state with 33.9% having had at least one dose, and 31.49% being fully vaccinated. Honestly, they are on my last nerve. I would love to be able to teach without a mask but at the rate my county is going, they will be growing tomatoes on Mars before I will be able to do so. And that is the horrible dynamic. I am positive my school with 'require' unvaccinated to wear masks (at best) but won't check vaccination status to enforce. So, it will become no one wears a mask either de facto, or de jure is my board decides not to require them. We deserve better. The one and only hope I see is that the FDA approves one or more of these for standard use and businesses and government entities start requiring them. BTW, the military requiring them would help my county immensely.

stores without masks, etc. I have little freedom to move freely about because of the low vax rate in our county also. I care for my elderly mom--and if I get it, she may get it--even if fully vaxed. too many breakthrough cases IMHO. Even mild cases might do her in simply because of her age. she may die in her sleep some day but I do not want to see her suffer some horrible lung disease because of selfish people. damn,

but I did hear that while he is opposed to mandating the vaccine for adults he is all about making teachers get it. I guess our freedom is less important or something. Now, I am in favor of vaccine passports and have no problem with teachers being mandated to get it, but I do get torqued with the my body my choice (vaccine only) crowd favoring me having a mandate but not them.

And lawsuits would take years to sort out so any order would likely be stayed while it worked through the courts.

They have said it may be made mandatory for military members, they would definitely have the authority to do that once it has full approval.

What I wonder, they are saying they may have to reengineer the vaccine to combat the Delta variant more effectively. Do they have to start the test trials over at the beginning if it's an altered vaccine from what is already in the process?

Pretty far from being the case. For example here in Florida 51% of White people are vaccinated, 42% of Hispanics, BUT only 26% of Black people.

That's why the "hurry up and die" mantra many here are adopting is so cringe-worthy, they are wishing death on 10s of millions of minority folks that don't want the vaccine for a variety of reasons.

9. It's moot at this point. We have Delta entrenched and beginning its work, so

even if every unvaccinated person were vaccinated today, unless they all also quarantine for the next 5 to 8 weeks, they will not be immune and Delta will find them. Behind it is Gamma, which may be worse.

So it is only a matter of a few months until almost everyone is either vaccinated, immune and recovered, or dead.

The more virulent these strains become, the faster they will work on the population and the sooner we reach herd immunity. It is a barbaric way to handle it, but it is the way the unvaccinated chose to handle it.

The sad thing is, every one of them becomes a possible mutation point for the virus to learn how to overcome the vaccine and put the rest of us at risk.

21. I saw that hannity guy on tv say.."Enough people have died"..I would think

a person would say.."Too many people have died"....which got me thinking that many of these RWers are still hoping
to reach herd immunity as their solution to Covid 19 pandemic and are willing to kill off as many as they think will magically reach their herd immunity goal.

I am sure people like them think the anti-vaxers are nothing more than their herd of sheep any way.
