There is nothing wrong with that, but being in an outside lane could be an advantage. Good on him.

He gets to get out of the pool first, hehe.

Apparently the outer lanes are for people who qualify lower in the qualifiers, and he was one of the slowest times. The outerlanes produce far more wake pressure on the swimmer so this feat is more of an accomplishment.

He wanted this, and he pushed hard to get it. Much congrats to him. I wish him the best.

the sound off. I am very happy for him and his family, but could have done without the ear-splitting screams.
