cause it sucks to have a fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, and be confined to bed. Offices all over the country think this is an acceptable risk. It isn't. And I have no interest in the latest Hollywood blockbuster to risk even a "slight" temp. Although something just uner 1/10th of one percent of the vaxxed get symptoms, so far, I have kidney disease so it seems an unreasonable risk.
This was all avoidable. If I go out and then get sick, I should be able to sue Hannity/Fox/Twitter/Facebook et. al

(8,792 posts)I don't want to test positive for covid even if I remain asymptomatic...I don't want to "carry" it on me and unknowingly infect others...I will stay masked for a very long time because of screeching anti-vaxxers and their vile media mouthpieces...a few weeks ago, prior to the massive delta variant spike, I overheard a woman at the grocery store bragging about her counterfeit vaccination card as a point of "owning the liberals" pride..and because I'm a fully vaccinated 73 year old with a severely compromised immune system, I wished on her a slow ventilated covid death...my bad...

(5,050 posts)I have emphysema and heart issues,,,, I hate, hate, hate wearing masks but I am going to mask up again while I'm out and start staying home more (again) bec the numbers continue to rise and I don't even want a mild case.

(7,624 posts)I'm becoming a hermit. Like so many others, I still mask and travel only to the grocery store. It sure is boring but it beats the alternative if I pick up this horrible affliction. I have several health issues, add Covid and I'm toast. I guess being a hermit is not so bad. I have a great stack of books to keep me occupied.

(21,646 posts)did not have to be hospitalized ,recovered in January easily with mild issues, except after recovery then had really bad ringing in ears and headaches on and off for months .
Just heard last weekend from someone he now has lost hearing in one ear unexplained they dont know if its going to be permanent
Without any other causes so far, they think it could be from the Covid- 7 months later!
40 yrs old no health issues active lifestyle doesnt smoke /drink /drugs
These anti vax morons are keeping us hostage and in danger .
You should be able to go to a cinema by now
its the end of July now
I understand some have transportation issues or are homebound doing the best to still try to get shots brought to them but that is not the majority of unvaxed anymore
They are also putting young children at a roulette table type risk (not many, but some kids will get hit hard) by not creating a herd immunity for those too young to be vaccinated

(38,412 posts)Before Covid, you risked Colds, the Flu, and all manner of more exotic diseases every day of your life. You may have taken precautions like a Flu Shot, or avoiding sick people, or children, or loading up on Vitamin C, but odds are you didn't mask.
There will never be 100% safety from Covid as long as there are stupid people, and there will always be stupid people. Especially in America.
Good luck with your lawsuits.
