The July 7 statement from Ozarks General hospital in Missouri, with an offer I first heard about from an ABC News story yesterday, can be found here:
https://www.ozarkshealthcare.com/about-us/news/2021/statement-on-repeating-history-a-covid-19-update/
I think this is technically a press release that could be quoted in full, but I'm going to post just this excerpt:
You probably see the exhaustion in our staffs eyes sometimes more than a smile.
You likely feel just as disappointed as we are, having to run yet another marathon in a race we never asked to run.
We understand getting vaccinated is a personal choice. Choosing to get vaccinated has been put in a strange light. For some, getting a vaccine may mean losing friendships. But it is a choice that can impact so many lives other than your own.
If you have questions about the vaccine any questions, we are here to answer them. If you need to schedule your vaccine, we are here to help. If you are afraid of walking into a public area where you might be seen getting your vaccine, we will work to accommodate even more of a private setting for you to receive your vaccine. Our pharmacy can be reached at 417-256-1793 for any of these needs.
Emphasis added.
This is an insane situation, that a hospital feels it has to offer this kind of secrecy.
But a lot of anti-vaxxers come across as insane, and their hostility toward others can be scary.
I imagine this hospital's staff had heard from a lot of people who were afraid of dealing with nutjob anti-vaxxer friends and relatives, before they decided to offer secret vaccinations.
Editing to add that this finally got national attention last night from ABC News, with the detail that some people are wearing disguises of some sort to get vaccinated:

That section of the story starts about 2-1/2 minutes in.

(2,914 posts)you have to worry about your personal safety for doing something GOOD?
Here in Maryland, I have yet to run into a maskhole in a store. And when my spouse and I got vaccinated a few months back, there were a lot of other people there and all of us were eager to get the vaccine.
There are some who fly Trump flags on their trucks but overall, it is not too bad here.

(44,055 posts)Ive seen a couple of Trump stickers on pick up trucks, but small and tasteful, no trump flags. Sussex county is another story

(2,914 posts)yes, I am aware there is a big difference between Sussex County in the south and New Castle county in the north.
The Eastern Shore is one red area in Maryland, also. Then Frederick County west to the WV line near Morgantown is solidly Repug.

(44,055 posts)We had an excellent public school. In the early 60s ours was one of the first classes to be racially integrated.Went to school with a lot of Air Force brats. Used to babysit for a major who flew bombers over the Himalayas. I lived a lot of different places in my 20s and 30s and then came back to New Castle County, Wilmington to work for the paper here for 20 years. Never really felt at home anywhere else.

(2,914 posts)I remember we got the Delaware State News in Dover. Dover AFB was nice and I liked Dover, also. When I was there, the base was a big hirer of a lot of Dover's workforce. There was also a Playtex plant and General Foods (not sure who owns them now). I also remember when we drove out west of town on Route 8 towards Md. seeing Amish folks out in their horse-drawn buggies.
I became a fan of the Blue Hens and the Del. State Hornets in football. 1980 was a bad year for Del State though, that was when they lost 105-0 to Portland State who had future NFLer Neil Lomax at QB.

(24,906 posts)to administer it in a private setting. But as far as "keeping it secret" That's the law. If you called the hospital where I got mine ad asked them if I had been vaccinated, they would not tell you. That would be a violation of HIPAA laws.
