https://apnews.com/article/government-and-politics-business-race-and-ethnicity-racial-injustice-only-on-ap-2b4106de3ebcbfae85948439a7056031It was 11:30 a.m. on March 19, 2015, and the klansmen were celebrating what they thought was a successful murder in Florida.
But the FBI had gotten wind of the murder plot. A confidential informant had infiltrated the group, and his recordings provide a rare, detailed look at the inner workings of a modern klan cell and a domestic terrorism probe.
That investigation would unearth another secret: An unknown number of klansmen were working inside the Florida Department of Corrections, with significant power over inmates, Black and white.
(snip)
White supremacist groups have historically engaged in strategic efforts to infiltrate and recruit from law enforcement, said an FBI document released by a congressional committee in September, about four months before the Capitol riots. In the intelligence assessment, written in 2006, the FBI said some in law enforcement were volunteering professional resources to white supremacist causes with which they sympathize.

It's a long read, with a kicker:
Even though three current and former Florida prison guards were exposed as klansmen, the states Department of Corrections says it found no reason to investigate whether other white supremacists were employed in its prisons.

Why investigate something you are trying to protect and nurture?
Interesting the reported events took place in 2015. Also interesting the feds had an undercover infiltrating this group and were made aware of the murder plot. One question i have is did they, the FEDS, know about the murder plot before the deed was done, or after?
the other question i have is what will Garland's DOJ do to remedy this situation of White Supremacists populating all levels of law enforcement and prison guard system? Is it even possible? I think a whole sale purge is the minimum.

while local police worked with Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, and Three Percenters even while Enrique Tarrio of the Proud Boys was a "prolific informant" for the FBI. You know, when he couldn't get the military to do his dirty work.

I used to live there. Glad I moved out. The only state where I've ever seen a giant billboard for the John Birch Society.

they shouldn't do the investigation. It should be an outside group.
