9. In Bennie Thompson's opening remarks he quoted one insurrectionist as saying,

— We didn’t come here for violence, we just came here to overthrow the government.

So that’s paraphrasing the quote, but good grief.

Never thought I’d say this about Liz Cheney, but was good to hear and see her sincerity.

The contrast in awareness between the insurrectionist’s words and Rep Cheney’s is something to behold, and I won’t suffer any fools who dismiss the purpose or need for these hearings.
