Curious as to why you would base an assessment about a Congressional Select Committee's success on what your family members, who are already pre-disposed against it, would opine.

The purpose of the committee is to discover facts about what happened and what lead to the events of January 6th.

In the future, when your Trump loving family starts gassing on about backing the blue or some other favored slogan, ask them if that includes the Capitol Police they were demeaning back in July. Take careful note of what they say, and bring it up again later to remind them of their past hypocrisy. Even if you don't change their minds, at the very least they'll be a little more guarded in what they say around you, because they know how shaky their position is.
