I think that there was nothing wrong with having some hesitancy at first. We remember what happened years ago with thalidomide. We though it was safe but later we found out that it caused birth defects in a significant proportion of the offspring of the women who received it. But now I think it is time for everyone to get on board with the Covid vaccinations unless they have a note from their doctor advising against it. Getting herd immunity is the only way we will ever beat this. Otherwise it will keep coming back. I got my second dose in May.

(13,688 posts)But I am just saying that some amount of hesitancy I think was understandable. And we have got so much contradictory advice on the topic of Covid in general. And people of color have the right to be suspicious due to our sad history. But I am telling people to get past that and get the vaccine.

(71,499 posts)different. And I pretty much hate those who refuse to get vaccinated. They are responsible for the shortages and economic issues here in Ohio that caused my husband to lose his job...his company simply can't get what they need to build...they are despicable selfish people and will cause the deaths of others.
