What's next for the Select Committee after they return from August recess?

Do they subpoena documents?

Or do they subpoena witnesses?

Do they subpoena former officials of the previous Administration?

Or do they subpoena present members of Congress?

Do they look for volunteers to testify?

Or do they go straight to the subpoena?

My guess is that they may go to officials within the previous Administration? People like Jeffrey Rosen or Mark Meadows or Bill Barr or Ivanka Trump?

They will likely be hesitant to target present members of Congress unless they are associated or named by a previous witness? They are trying to keep partisan battles to a minimum.

Any other ideas?

I believe Chairman Thompson has said they will dispense with the letters requesting testimony, and go straight to subpoenas.
