I guess there is no such thing as bad publicity. 
Morgan is trying to equate him running away from an uncomfortable question to an elite athlete hitting a mental wall and her body giving out.
I stated in another thread, that I used to play high school and later, competitive sports. I played injured because of my foolish youth and desire to compete. Absolutely nothing like an Olympic athlete who has the hopes and dreams of an entire nation on them. We played in tournaments all over the country however and against some lower tier college and semi-pro athletes. For us, it was big stakes.
I injured my knee and ankle pretty badly at one point. Actually it was that last time I played competitive basketball. I hit the wall. I was so afraid of getting injured again that I couldn't get myself to get back on the court full throttle.
It is a hard thing to deal with when you feel you can't do something that you love doing. You do feel like a coward and failure.
Then to have some actual coward, call you a coward. That sucks. Morgan ran away from an interview because someone called him out for being a jackass and he is trying to say that it is like Biles, the absolute best gymnast in history, burning out (hopefully temporarily) during the Olympics.
What he did absolutely was cowardly. What she did, in realizing her limitations, was brave, especially in the face of all these assholes, who likely know nothing about what an athlete goes through, chiming in like they have a valuable opinion.
to smack him? Or at least throw a pie in his face?
