TFG very upset over coming infrastructure deal

Trump slams Romney, Senate GOP over infrastructure deal

Former President Trump lambasted Senate Republicans for reaching a deal with their Democratic counterparts on "major issues" involving an infrastructure proposal, dubbing Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) a "SUPER RINO."

"Hard to believe our Senate Republicans are dealing with the Radical Left Democrats in making a so-called bipartisan bill on 'infrastructure,' with our negotiators headed up by SUPER RINO Mitt Romney," Trump said referring to "Republican in name only."

Trump said any passage of such a measure would be a win for the Biden administration and Democrats, alluding to such a vote being "heavily used in the 2022 election."

Trump Calls Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill 'Loser for the USA' as McConnell Supports It

Republican former President Donald Trump has called a bipartisan infrastructure bill a "loser for the USA." However, the Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky has said he will vote to proceed the bill.

"Hard to believe our Senate Republicans are dealing with the Radical Left Democrats in making a so-called bipartisan bill on 'infrastructure,' with our negotiators headed up by SUPER RINO Mitt Romney," Trump wrote in a statement on Wednesday.

"This will be a victory for the Biden Administration and Democrats, and will be heavily used in the 2022 election. It is a loser for the USA, a terrible deal, and makes the Republicans look weak, foolish, and dumb," Trump's statement continued.

Trump concluded his message by warning congressional Republicans that supporting the bill would leave them open to political primary opponents in 2022.

Republican senators seem to be tuning out Trump's infrastructure criticism

It remains to be seen if there will be enough GOP votes to advance the $1.2 trillion bipartisan package to a procedural vote, let alone for ultimate passage. But if it does fail it probably won't be because of former President Donald Trump's criticism of the plan. That's likely because his opposition statements have little to do with the proposal itself, The Washington Post's Dave Weigel surmises.

The buzz on the ground indicates that Weigel is on the right track. "I've read the statements," Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) told Politico. "But it's a little short on specificity." Meanwhile, a senior GOP aide told Politico that Trump's messaging isn't "reverberating here. I don't think [Sen.] Rob Portman (R-Ohio) sees this and goes, 'Oh no, I have to give up'" on negotiations.

Even the pundits often talk about Senator's votes based on what it will do for their re-elections chances versus what it will do for the country. Those in Washington definitely live in a "bubble" where it's all about winning over the other team versus doing the job they were elected to do.

One win, and that is the United States.

The orange menus wants the US to be a third world sell off, so his sweaty hands could buy what he can't afford otherwise.

A vote against infrastructure is a vote against the Country.

We want investment and we need it now!

for my entire life. I don't need to listen to any crap about RINO's from a clown who flip-flopped his party affiliation a handful of times before deciding he was a Republican again when he saw a chance to run for office. Also, if he thought there was any money in it, he would be a Democrat again tomorrow."

(Not a Romney fan, but TFG makes my skin crawl.)
