I don't think Javanka have thought this through

It is all over the headlines that the mendacious and plastic Kushner is leaving politics (LOL) to set up an investment firm in the Middle East – more pertinently in Israel & "Persian Gulf" countries. Now call me cynical but on the back of Thomas Barrack, one of Trumps best buddies, being collared for acting as foreign agent for the UAE, maybe just maybe, Jared tootling off to the middle east to try and benefit financially from the connections he made as ‘senior adviser’ to TFG is handing the DOJ a road map and co-ordinates to follow to all of the shady dealings and murky transactions of the Trump era.

This is brilliant. We all know that Jared is not that bright. Anything he has got is from nepotism and inherited privilege. In his own right he is very mediocre. Look at his track record over the last four years. Middle East Peace – how’s that working out in Gaza? Covid 19 response – 600k dead, and he can no longer set foot in his hometown because of his casual disregard of them during the first wave. Trying to prevent TFG wallowing in the big lie and starting a violent insurrection – yeah, nothing, nadda. And now he thinks he can take advantage of his contacts from the administration of doom to make some dollars? Grifters gotta grift, but without the protections afforded during the Trump era, grifters gonna realise grifting actions have repercussions in the real world. The DOJ must be rubbing their hands with gleeful anticipation.

even if she stays out of stir, Ivanka can't run an RE business any better than he can.

His father told him so.

But, his father also told Jared that he had a special suite built for him at Federal Prison Camp, Montgomery, the place Chris Christie had him sent to a while back when a Federal Prosecutor.

Prison camps are nothing like real prisons, but are really more like camps, with all sorts of privileges and special goodies. Jared's little campus will have specially programmed Bloomberg clones to let him pretend to make zillions in his new career. It will also have staged Zoom meetings with actors playing Kuwaiti oil sheiks investing in his new company.

It's the kind of thing you do for a favorite son.

Kushner graduated from Harvard in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government. Kushner enrolled in a joint Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration program coordinated between New York University School of Law and New York University Stern School of Business. He graduated in 2007 with dual JD/MBA degrees.

And yes, his schoolmates at Harvard said he was the dumbest of all the students there, but "somehow" he got through to get an MBA at NYU. I don't know that he is a lawyer though.

A person of interest is not yet a target of criminal investigation, both very different, and either way, would require a warrant from the bench, in my layman's opinion.

Extradition could be the nicest thing to happen to Jar-Jar Kushner if he gets cross-threaded with Mohammed Bone Saw.

This morning, I read an editorial in WaPo about Salem Almuzaini, a one-time Saudi official who has been beaten and tortured by MBS's henchmen:

As set out in the court papers, Almuzaini was first seized in Dubai on Sept. 26, 2017, by United Arab Emirates security officials and sent to the kingdom; he vanished on Aug. 24, 2020, after visiting a senior Saudi state security official, and has not been seen since. His description of his treatment in the intervening years — at two Saudi prisons, and at Riyadh’s Ritz-Carlton hotel, where suspected opponents of the regime were detained in 2017 — offers a horrifying view of the lengths to which the regime under the crown prince, known as MBS, has gone to punish its perceived enemies.
...
The chilling description, reminiscent of memoirs of suffering by political prisoners in Iran, Chile, South Africa and the Soviet Union, offers the most extensive personal account to date of the alleged brutal conduct of the Saudi regime.

So, Jar-Jar: let me know if you need help packing!

in public, it used to be they only disgraced themselves in private then fake to be honorable billionaires, but the World has seen the emperor has no clothes, and the children of the Emperor are also naked, so they are forced to go somewhere else. I have to think that China will eventually revoke the licenses they gave Ivanka while they were grifting from the White House.

"Think before you act"...had the trumps possessed the attribute of thinking before acting to analyze the consequences of their wanting to milk the USA government, to be Putin's pet, I think they would have passed on it, but the lack of their understanding of consequences will make them pay. Of course that trump-the-buffoon still doesn't understand about consequences and he is still at large, but that, I have to expect, that will also change soon, fingers crossed.

I know a guy who thought he had it made doing some coffee deal with the UAE. In the process, he somehow ran afoul of Dubai‘s ruling family, got arrested, and spent two years in one of their jails. They finally let him out, but he hasn‘t been quite the same since.

Jared carries exactly zero weight now in DC, so if he does something similar, he could find himself going a similar sabbatical.
