Many of the Central Americans coming north have failing farms back home. Can't grow crops when Mother Nature says no.

When I moved to the Asheville area, I learned about half-backs, the Florida visitors who escape the stultifying summer heat and humidity for the cooler, milder mountain climes.

Eventually, those Floridians will escape and live here full time, especially those on the coasts.
