Clive Davis and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced the artists who will be joining Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon and Jennifer Hudson at the New York City homecoming concert in New Yorks Central Park on August 21: Andrea Bocelli, LL Cool J, Kane Brown, Elvis Costello, Earth, Wind and Fire, Kenny Babyface Edmonds, Cynthia Erivo, Jimmy Fallon, Wyclef Jean, Journey, the Killers, Gayle King, Don Lemon, Barry Manilow, Polo G, Patti Smith, Rob Thomas with Santana and guests Jimmy Fallon, Gayle King and Don Lemon, with more to be announced and presumably surprise appearances as well.

(43,049 posts)I was part of hanging out at a huge megaconcert. There were balloon codes, but could only find two of them. Bad enough, but the mob leaving the park just kinda pulled you along, like a riptide. Scary stuff, unless you're high enough to not care.
Couldn't hear half the concert anyway.

Obviously, I'd take ALL possible COVID-19 precautions to heart, even in that outside venue. That said, I'm sure you can hear the performances well outside the crowd, so I'd likely take some binoculars and remain well outside the fray.

(Of course there is that one earworm... impossible to shake. For sure, it'll be on the set list.)
