Iran's olympian sharpshooter, Javad Foroughi, honed his craft during Syrias civil war where civilians, mostly women and children, were often put in the crosshairs of live bullets. He shouldn't be rewarded.
Like other members of the Basij militia, a US-designated foreign terrorist group affiliated with Irans International Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Foroughi honed his craft during Syrias civil war where Syrian civilians, mostly women and children, were often, and intentionally, put in the crosshairs of live bullets.
Foroughi isnt ashamed of his service to the Iranian regime, nor is anyone even trying to hide it. Iran boasted of his service on state TV where Foroughi actually declared that the greatest honor in life was to fight on behalf of Irans genocidal, Holocaust-denying leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
One famous Iranian athlete wont be competing in Tokyo: wrestler Navid Afkari.
Afkari cant compete. He was executed last year for daring to protest the regimes crimes against the Iranian people, including the mullahs suppression of all human rights, especially the rights of minorities, women and girls.

(852 posts)It appears both Iran and the Republicans in the United States love them some killers.
Not surprising.

Some activities and interests and desires are like that; they can be quite addictive, actually.
Perhaps most are.
Nonetheless some activities famously require increasing "hits" to achieve the thrill.
