not doing nothing. They have painted themselves into a corner. Blowing off precautions and fighting lockdowns was their play the first time because TFG knew he was screwed if the pandemic was bad. To be fair, it would have been rough on any president.

In TFG's mind, it wasn't fair, couldn't happen, it was all him and his election chances. Even I thought it could not amount to much right at first. Since that was his best chance, he rolled the dice and decided to play everything that way. If he was right, the economy didn't take much of a hit, he'd look good for making the right call, and he would have looked as good as possible heading out of summer.

This is just more of that. Cooperating with mandates and getting vaccinated might slow the spread and beat the virus down before the holidays if we're lucky. How would that look? It'd look like the morans should have helped the rest of us all along wouldn't it? They really feel like they have no choice but to ride it out.
