.
In the computer field, there is a principle that directs people to follow your desired goals without forcing them.
You make all other options more difficult and painful and people will always follow the path of least resistance.
These people who resist the vaccine will be socializing their fucked up decisions onto the rest of us.
If people have not been vaccinated, or do not have real immunity issues preventing the vaccine:
1) Health insurance companies should not cover COVID-19 care.
2) Life insurance companies should amend policies to treat unvaccinated deaths as suicides, denying payout.
3) Biden announced financial aid to Long-Haul COVID-19 patients which would not apply to them.
What these assholes will do is jack up all of our health and life insurance policies, incur more taxpayer-funded federal debt, and burden the health care system if/when they get ill. They will also be staging grounds for the next mutations and aid in the wildfire spread of this pandemic which will result in years of Whack-A-Mole reactions by everyone who is trying to care for themselves and others. These fools are a parasitic drag on the economy. They should not benefit in any way from their poor decisions.
What else can you think of to act as tacit coercive agents?

(5,932 posts)but it was too late and they died. That might get a few of them to wake up. Otherwise, it's hard- they have doubled down on their defiant beliefs and are holding to them tight.

(19,201 posts)denies a vaccination to some "libtard". A completely legal way to kill the libs.
They just might be dumb enough to fall for it.

(19,201 posts)of that National Lampoon. I think it was voted "best cover" and won a national advertising award long ago.
I have quite a few old issues that I've dragged around the country in my many moves over the past 50 years or so.
Man, I'm getting old.

(54,770 posts)punishment for other diseases that are easily preventable/avoidable. Not sure what #3 does.
Think vaccination passports is the best way to go, although that means restaurants, stores, venues, etc., have to be prepared to handle unruly fools who pitch a fit.
I'd also support a tax surcharge for the unvaxed without a legitimate excuse. So, I guess I am for punishment. Come to think of it, I'm fine with a health insurance premium surcharge for those obviously too stupid to take care of themselves, not to mention others.
But I agree with your basic premise that unvaxed should not benefit from their poor/stupid decisions.

(3,501 posts)Let the market do its thing. Increased rates for the unvaxxed for health insurance, and denied payouts for life insurance policies. I believe auto insurance policies don't have to pay out for injuries if the injured party was not wearing a seatbelt. So, Freedum DOES have a price!
