The US seems to work on reaction. Not the best plan for a pandemic.

We can’t get ahead of the problem because if we make some progress many seem
To want to declare victory and move on. I’ve been watching the numbers again and we are already close to 100,000/day. It’s just amazing to me.

on Worldometers and the US has spikes every 3 months. Covid obviously isn't dictated by warm/cool climates. I guess we are in store for another one in Nov 2021. Maybe a new strain will be here by than.

Past spikes...April 2020, July/Aug 2020, Nov/Dec/Jan 2020-21, April 2021, July/Aug 2021. I certainly see a pattern here.

Cold winters provide that, and AC during the Summer provide those conditions. The later is likely why the South gets hammered during the summer, lots of people packed around AC.

...vs. planning for later.

If we took precautions, safety measures, etc. And the pandemic was minimal, you have people screaming bloody murder we "over reacted".

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

We have a large fraction of Americans who have their heads shoved up their asses, progress is hard with them being weights around our ankles while we try to swim.
