Inevitably... "Fox News contributor calls DC officer a 'crisis actor' after testimony"

I had literally just thought of this as a joke. Like, "Ha ha, I'm surprised none of these "Blue Lives Matter" dweebs are calling the Capitol Cops 'crisis actors' yet," followed by my self assured chortle that finally, satire was getting ahead of the news cycle.

I thought of this joke while in the shower, so I immediately dried off and ran to my laptop in order to share my witticism with the world. Only to read this:

Fox News contributor calls DC officer a ‘crisis actor’ after 6 January commission testimony

A right-wing pundit and Fox News contributor smeared DC Capitol Police Officer Michael Fanone as a “crisis actor” after his emotional testimony to the 6 January commission.

Julie Kelly, who describes herself as a “self-appointed fact checker of the left”, went on an extended Twitter tirade as four officers who were injured during the US Capitol riots testified before a House Committee on Tuesday.

Mr Fanone described being beaten, sprayed with mace and knocked unconscious as he and the other outnumbered police officers tried to keep thousands of insurrectionists from storming the US Capitol as the 2020 election results were being certified.

Mr Fanone was grabbed and pulled out into the crowd, and said he only escaped with his life after pleading with the crowd: “I’ve got kids”.

Mr Fanone’s bodycam footage, played for the committee and broadcast on cable news, captured the moment he begged for his life. On Twitter, Mrs Kelly suggested that Mr Fanone had lied when he reported suffering a heart attack, severe brain injury and PTSD.

She went on to call him “Crisis actor Fanone”.

God, I loathe these fuckers

That was some fine acting. Mr Fanone is a gift to his craft. Nexus2 Jul 2021 #4

"Crisis actor" - Someone who has suffered a terrible trauma, the cause of which we have constantly supported, but our support is making us look bad.

"Crisis Pregnancy Centers" - We will bully and terrorize you into not having an abortion.
