He's the one who refused to be vaccinated before the Olympics because he didn't want any side effects to interrupt his training. Now he's refusing to wear a mask.

Here's the most infuriating quote:
What a selfish jerk.

(36,747 posts)The part of having their own training pool sounded rather anti-social. I would guess the dad is a big Dumpster.
Definitely was not upset he lost.

(23,565 posts)working electricity. The electricity did get turned on during my 3 hour home visit. I was sweating up a fricking storm. I had no trouble breathing. But, I did feel great taking that thing off.
If I can do it in the heat with an N95 how can an olympic athlete suffocate with a standard mask?

(65,168 posts)Almost nobody has a problem breathing through a mask.
A world class athlete would not be an exception.
He's a punk, a liar, & a jerk.

(15,265 posts)Of bbn one of the men's relay events. I am assuming it was just after the event. The 3rd and particulary the 4th swimmers were breathing heavily. So I can see some of these athletes need a period of recovery after their events. Their levels of physical activity are extreme.

What is it with these false Christians? If they honestly believe in God/Jesus, do they really believe they are fooling them?

(35,977 posts)5th place? Uh, in what world does anyone even want to interview someone who doesn't get a medal or have a heartbreaking BMX or skateboard crash? I guess the Americans mustn't be doing that great in swimming? Seriously, though. If the amazing Katie Ledecky pulled that stunt, it'd be newsworthy, but she's a goddam decent person and she didn't. What absolute disrespect for the host country. He should have been automatically banned from participating in more events and even had his visa revoked. Wanker.
After a mass protest violating public health orders in Sydney last weekend where most were white men, the Guardian posted an article about a study that was done on those most likely to be non-compliant when it comes to covid. This Ugly American Andrew guy falls into that category. If I can wear a mask in the office, he can wear one doing an interview. Have I called him a wanker already?
