The way out of this f'ing mess....

Trump has FUBARed the country. we all know it.

There is a way out however and it's very simple: Trump has to become the albatross of the republican party.

If we continue to see candidates he endorses lose, the conventional wisdom will shift from "i need trump's supporters to win" to "If trump supports me i'm going to lose"

Sooner or later, hopefully, the republican party will realize that trump's support actually hurts them more than it helps them. then and only then will he jump the shark. he lost the house, he lost the senate, he lost the presidency, and he's going to continue to lose. Trump endorsements are not helpful. Then he becomes the albatross no one wants to associate with.

Of course he is not the only problem but things are not going to get better until he is taken out of the picture because he continues to make things worse. This can only happen from within the republican party, as they gradually realize that HE IS AN ALBATROSS. Associating with him or seeking his endorsement has to be seen as a sure ticket to lose your next election.

I think we are trending in that direction but not quite there yet. I believe the trend will continue.

as things get worse, more and more people will jump ship.

he's not an albatross yet but he will be.

here's a non-scientific gauge on it. just google "trump albatross" there are not many hits, and almost zero memes.

just the idea that he's an albatross needs to become more prevalent and then it will snowball.
