Hey George,
Paul Begala here. I’m a veteran Democratic campaign operative who has worked with folks like James Carville to elect Democrats from offices ranging from Congress to the White House.
I’ve also served as a White House Strategist and Counselor to the President for Bill Clinton.
So take it from me when I say that Shontel Brown is one of the most compelling and dynamic candidates I’ve seen run for office in a long time, and I know she’ll be an excellent representative for Northeast Ohio.
But her election is this Tuesday, and she can’t win without your support.
With such narrow majorities in Congress, this is one of, if not the highest-stakes election of the year. We MUST ensure Shontel wins if Democrats are going to have any chance of passing Joe Biden’s agenda.
With the election coming up so soon, can I count on you to rush another generous donation of $25 to help her win?
Shontel has dedicated her life to serving her community, whether on the Cuyahoga County Council, through her church, or the countless other civic organizations she’s worked with throughout her career.
These are the kinds of relationships you need to represent your constituents and to be an effective Congresswoman.
Her opponent, on the other hand, is a divisive firebrand who has spent the last five years making a pretty profit by driving wedges in our party and attacking our presidential nominees.
Northeast Ohio needs a representative who will focus on healing our nation’s divisions and rebuilding from the turmoil of last year. Shontel will be that representative.
The latest polling shows Shontel surging and tied with her radical, divisive opponent. But the election is this Tuesday, and Shontel is being outspent 3-1 right now.
